How 'bout this for roughing it ;O)

Okay, so not a lot of die-hard campers in the bunch, LOL.

Honestly, me either. Tent camping was the only way my fam. could afford travelling growing up, so I've done my time.

This is what I like to see my campsite looking like now. Wanna come rough it with me at the Ritz ;O)

Ahhhh, me and my laptop...room service with cute little cater waiters...I'm betting there's a killer view out that window, too, for those times a girl needs some non-hunk distractions.

Yeah, I like the great outdoors. Every time the wind blows, my creativity recharges. But the great indoors is a lovely thing, too!! And because I travelled so much as a consultant once upon a time (and stayed in some dives on the client's dime), I'm not a budget-elle kind of girl anymore...good thing for all those American Express points I can trade in.

Okay, the new RWA National Prize. I'm going to go ahead and say I'll be drawing a winner on the 10th, instead of next week. The AAF revisions are going to be my focus until then, and I don't want to leave anyone hanging. Here 'tis...let me know what you think!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Wonderful prize - thanks for the chance.

Best wishes Cherie. My first was a C-Section and my second totally natural. They both had their pros and cons but a healthy babe is the important thing :)

My kind of camping! Well, if there isn't a tiny sewing kit in the bathroom, it really is camping! My husband is a Marriott memeber and those points come in handy while traveling. Hope you are enjoying your travels.

    Sunday AM 10/01/06

Just got home from a few days away
to refresh my self. No camping though, just a nice hotel room with all the amenities worked just fine for me. I love nature but she doesn't understand me. I don't like creepy crawlies and slithering things which shall go unnamed, so I stay out of Mother Natures baliwick. Have a great week-end and hugs to all

Congrats on your new kitty Toni.I hate when people are cruel to animals. We got a pomarian mix dog because it was being abused too.Once some neighbor kids were swinging a cat by it's tail, and my sister freaked out and got it away from the heathens.

That's my kind of roughing it. Once my husband and I went to the upper peninsula in Michigan and booked a room at a rugged retreat. It happened to be the nicest room we ever stayed in. Very beautiful.
I like the great outdoors, but I love the great indoors for sleeping.

Me too, me too. I want to be in the funky purse contest.

On camping, I love to camp. I live in a beautiful place, Teton Valley Idaho and I love to camp with the family. If I go to a really nice hotel, I prefer that I be alone with my husband. Otherwise, the ambiance is wasted, I am too busy herding my crew of four children.
I love your prize, books are the best.

While I am a little late I am an avid camper. We just bought a 2007 27 ft travel trailer. We camp a couple of weekends a month almost every month. In the summer it is every weekend.

My one and only camping trip highlights:
(it was a group of band students and their parents)The band director overturns his canoe and had to swim back to shore, a noisy attempt at a raid by the boys on the girls' cabin as the parents watched from the camp fire, having to help cook meals for some 25 - 30 people. I much preferred our stay in a five-star hotel in Venice, Italy!! If camping is your thing, enjoy!!!
